Lightspeed Magazine

Lightspeed Magazine is a new electronic science fiction magazine edited by John Joseph Adams and published by Sean Wallace of Prime Books. Lightspeed Magazine required considerable custom theme coding to develop the magazine like features, including detailed author bios and issue-based archive pages.

Brent Weeks, author of the excellent Night Angel Trilogy, published by Orbit Books, required a new site to coincide with the launch of his new series and book, The Black Prism.  The design included a custom-coded “What Color is Your Magic?” quiz powered by javascript with social networking sharing capabilities.

A post-apocalyptic image created for a Tor.com caption contest, as a promotion for the Wastelands anthology. The model is Mo Cromer. The shoot was held in the hills outside of Fort Collins, Colorado. The city skyline and broken moon were added via Photoshop in post.

Client: Travis of Shear Terror/portfolio piece

This shoot was done for Travis and Ames. Travis is the man behind Shear Terror, a hair styling business. For this shoot, they requested a theme that would show both the good and antagonistic sides of love. We used bad 80s movies as a template, with a mismatched pair handcuffed together and on the run.
