Congratulations to the 2015 Nebula Award Nominees!

The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) have announced the nominees for the 50th annual Nebula Awards, and here at Clockpunk Studios we want to offer our congratulations to all of the nominees! As the cliche goes, “it’s an honor just to be nominated,”  but when you’re talking about an award as prestigious as the Nebulas, it’s really true, and as far as we’re concerned all the nominees are winners. You can see the full list of nominees here.

Of course, we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t play favorites a little bit–and while we’re anxiously awaiting those bionic upgrades, we’re all still human for the time being–so we’re especially proud of our clients who’ve made it onto the Nebula Award ballot. We’re not saying that having a great website helped them to achieve their current (and well-deserved) success, but it couldn’t hurt!

Ann Leckie‘s novel Ancillary Mercy from Orbit is nominated for best novel. We were very happy to help launch Ann’s new site last year, and we’re thrilled to see Ancillary Mercy on the Nebula ballot! Meanwhile stories from several of our magazine clients have found places in various Nebula nomination categories, including one from Nightmare–Alyssa Wong’s “Hungry Daughters of Starving Mothers“–and two from Lightspeed–Amal El-Mohtar’s “Madeleine” in the short story category, and Brooke Bolander’s “And You Shall Know Her by the Trail of Dead” in the novelette category.

We’re always extremely proud and pleased to see our clients do well, but we’re also just happy for every single person on the ballot. Once again, we wish to extend our sincere congratulations to all the nominees, and we’re looking forward to the Nebula Awards ceremony in Chicago on May 14!
