J.A. Pitts, urban fantasy author of Black Blade Blues knew where to go for an author website. The design itself is heavily inspired by the text of Pitts’ novel. The sword in the masthead is the eponymous sword, Gram, Sigurd’s sword. The protagonist of the novel is a blacksmith, and the client requested a design that evokes both Norse mythology and the grimy environment of a blacksmith’s shop.

The site is integrated with Facebook and Twitter, posting notices to the social media streams of the author when updated.
